Dr Emile Aucamp: Dr Emile Aucamp graduated in medicine from the University of Pretoria in 1979. Conscripted for military service in Namibia during 1981-2 he treated casualties and gained experience of intensive care, also obtained a diploma in aviation medicine. He worked in district hospitals from 1983, gaining experience in anaesthetics, traumatology and general surgery, becoming head of orthopaedics in Tshepong Hospital.
